On Thursday, May 26, 2022, Audrey Miller Scott joined our Lord and other family members waiting for her in Heaven, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. She was our Family Matriarch who will always be remembered for her Faith, Strength & Love.

Audrey was born on July 3, 1935, in Jackson, TN, the daughter of the late Bessie Miller Johnson and Aubrey Miller. Audrey was a housewife who devoted her life to raising her four children.  She was deeply involved in 1st United Methodist Church and served as their Hostess for many years before joining Englewood Baptist Church.  Her passion for cooking and entertaining led her to opening  “A Matter of Taste,” where she was the Coordinator for many beautiful weddings & party events.  After selling her catering business, she worked at The Jackson Golf & Country Club, managing events for their guests.  She eventually moved to Knoxville, TN, to be with her children.

Audrey is survived by her children, Kellee Scott Strawbridge, Karee Scott McCord, and Charles Franklin Scott (Alesia Spain).  She is preceded in death by her son, Mark Lawton Scott, the father of her children, Charles Lawton Scott, and her sister, Virginia Miller Bickerstaff. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Charles Steelman Smoot (wife, Maranda), Taylor Elizabeth Strawbridge, Michael Charleston Black, McCall Scott Emison, Kelsey Scott Vinson, and Caitlin Elizabeth Scott, and great-grandson, Camden James Smoot.  She will be deeply missed by her sisters, Georgia Miller Bailey and Barbara Miller Bush.  She has also left behind special family members, nieces and nephews that were especially dear to her heart.
