On Monday, April 27th, 2020, David Thomas Hannasch passed away, at the age of 59. David will be greatly remembered by his wife and best friend, Sherry; his children; Chassity (Russ), Korey (Jamie), and Tony (Katie). David will also be remembered by his numerous grandchildren (listed oldest to youngest); Lori (23), Landra (21), Zachary (17), Zayden (14), Zavier (13), Elliott (12), Zander (9), Emmrie (9), Abigail (8), Mason (6), and Evyn (4); and great grandchildren, Zeiyah (5), and Michael Thomas (expected August 30th).

David was a native of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1977, where he met his wife, Sherry. They were married 40 years.

David’s pride and joy were his grandkids! And they adored him back.

David spent his life as a busy body. He was constantly moving! He preferred working with his hands, working, and fixing things. He was the person everyone called for help. And he would always be there to help you out! He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back. He had a tough exterior but was more sensitive than he let people know.

He had a great sense of humor! He loved a good joke, even if it wasn’t appropriate!

In the end, he suffered more than he wanted to burden his family with. His family will forever miss him, his sense of humor, his sense of duty, and his sensitivity.

He is survived by his above family; his brother, Steve Hannasch; and his sisters, Diane Doyle and Debbie Hooker; and his mother-in-law, Elvie Holloway.
