Paul Hendrickson, 79, began his next adventure with Jesus on September 16, 2020. He gracefully endured his long struggle with liposarcoma cancer with the support and love of caring medical professionals, friends, and family.

Paul’s passions in this life were centered around his relationships, traveling, Colorado backpacking, bicycling the country, educating and mentoring others. His understated, mischievous sense of humor and joking manner always brough out laughter in others. He was one of the most capable people and there wasn’t anything he couldn’t figure out how to fix or build.

Born in Winchester, Indiana to Lee and Gene Hendrickson, he grew up as an Indiana farm boy and graduated high school in Bradenton, Florida.

His achievements include:

Bethany Nazarene College graduate

Oklahoma University, PhD, physics

Mid-America Nazarene University Physics Professor and Department Chairman

College Church of the Nazarene member

Involvement with Focus Seminars of Kansas City

He is survived by his loving family:  Wife; Pat Hendrickson, Son and daughter-in-law; Brian and Deanna, grandchildren; Evan, Andrew and Karly Hendrickson, Daughter; Cindy Hendrickson, Brother; Bob Hendrickson and Stan Osborn, Stepmother; Evelyn Hendrickson and brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Bob and Sherry Murray.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm followed by funeral services at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at College Church of the Nazarene, 2020 Sheridan St., Olathe, KS, 66062
