It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Robert “Bob” Storey, age 70, who passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022. Bob will be remembered as a loving father who considered his family as his greatest source of pride and joy, as well as a diligent worker and faithful friend to many. He was also an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats. Bob was raised in Louisville, Kentucky by his mother Martha, and with his four sisters, Cindy, Debbie, Kelly, and Betty Jo. He attended Dupont Manuel High School and graduated from Western Kentucky University with an Industrial Technology degree. It was at WKU where he met his beloved wife, Jan.


Bob spent his entire career working as an engineer within manufacturing environments in Middle and Western Tennessee. After retirement in 2020, Bob dedicated his time to enjoying his children and grandchildren, traveling, and woodworking. He was an active member of West Jackson Baptist Church after he and Jan moved to Jackson in 2019.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jan; their three daughters, Stacy Preston, and husband Landon, Jamie Sandoval, and husband Adam, and Ashley Youmans, and husband Kyle; grandchildren, Elijah, Madilynn and Annie Preston, Koen and Stella Sandoval, and Charlotte Youmans. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Storey and his sister, Betty Jo.

SERVICES: A Funeral Service will be held 11:30AM Wednesday, May 4, 2022 in the Chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, 148 W. University Pkwy, Jackson, TN 38305. The family will receive friends from 9:30AM until the time of service.  The burial will follow at  Ridgecrest Cemetery, 200 Ridgecrest Road, Jackson, TN 38305, with Dr. Walter Taylor officiating.
