Mike Gillotte Sr., 84, of Harrisonville, MO passed away peacefully in his home on May 18, 2020 surrounded by his family.
Mike was born April 17, 1936 to Josephine and Herman Gillotte of Omaha, NE. He joined the Marine Corp and was medically discharged due to a back injury. He was a member of the Machinist Union for 20 years. He and his brother Herman worked in concreate flatwork until retirement. Mike enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, mowing, and fishing during retirement. He was an active member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Harrisonville, MO.
Mike was preceded in death by his wife Linda Gillotte, and daughter Terry Brazile. He leaves behind his daughter, Dana Henry and husband David of Peoria, AZ, two grandsons, Joe and James. Son, Mike Gillotte II and wife Lora of Harrisonville, MO, two grandsons, Tony and Jon. Terry’s three children, Adam, Lindsey, and Cole of Phoenix, AZ, as well as four great-grandchildren.
A private service (private due to COVID) will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church on Tuesday May 26th and ashes will be joined with his wife, Linda, at Johnson County Memorial Garden in Overland Park, KS at a later date.
A Celebration of Life Fish Fry (Mike’s favorite) will be scheduled at Our Savior Lutheran Church when COVID restrictions have been lifted.
