Peggy Welshans Williamson, age 87, passed away on March 3, 2022, from complications following a stroke.
Peggy was born and raised in Friendship, Tennessee. She graduated from Friendship High School as Valedictorian and earned a BS degree in Accounting from Memphis State College. She first worked as a teacher, and then for the state of Tennessee as an auditor. She earned a CPA and worked as the Treasurer for United Methodist Communications until her retirement in 1996.
Peggy and Tom Welshans were married for twenty-five years and raised their four children in Memphis, Tennessee, Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Hendersonville, Tennessee. In 2019, she moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to be close to some of her children and grandchildren.
Peggy was happiest when her house was full of family and visitors.
