
Virgil “Bud” E. Wigger, 71, passed away on September 3, 2020 at his home in Warsaw, MO. Bud was born on November 30, 1948 in West Manchester, Ohio to Donald and Helen (Chambers) Wigger. He married Patricia Ledbetter on September 26, 1998. Virgil had 20 active years in the Airforce. He enlisted in 1968 and remained active until 1978. 20 years later, in 1998, he decided he should re-enlist and remained active for 10 more years, being honorably discharged in 2008. After spending some time in the Northland, he and Pat moved to the lake in Warsaw, where he spent many years on the volunteer fire department. In his free time, Bud enjoyed hunting and fishing with his wife.
Virgil is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Billie Sue Reed (Langley Reed). He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife, Pat; daughters Penny Wigger; Dawn (Keith Wilson) Ochoa; Angela Wigger, Tamara (Ben) Mulroney; and Amanda (Josh) Koger; grandchildren Victoria (Seth) Buckles, Alexandra Slaid, Benjamin Mulroney, Kyle Hodler, Rebecca Mulroney, Brie Hodler, Nina Ochoa, Owen Koger, Charlotte Koger; siblings Donna (Kenneth) Galdeen; Donald (Betsy) Wigger Jr.; Dean (Robin) Wigger; and Joe (Julie Neaveill) Wigger.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial services are planned for Bud in Ohio, Warsaw, and Kansas City. He will be laid in his final resting place at Terrace Park Cemetery following the memorial service in Kansas City at Terrace Park Funeral Home. The Ohio service will be held September 19, 2020 at Ware’s Chapel UMC in West Manchester, Ohio at 11:00 am. The dates of his services in Kansas City and Warsaw are to be determined.
